We will then head to the Northern Kenya region for a unique safari adventure experience. Visit the Buffalo springs too and the Shaba springs. The Shaba was one of the settings for the book and film Born Free, for the film Out of Africa, and for the reality show Survivor: Africa. After 3 days of amazing safari adventure, we will head to the Mount Kenya region. Going on a nature walk, you will visit the Mau Mau caves and get to learn more about the indigenous people here and their culture.

Departing the Mount Kenya region, our Kenya safari adventure takes us to the Amboseli, with a welcoming view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli National Park is an elephant sanctuary and is one of the best places to see Africa jumbo elephants. This is a superb destination for your Africa safari adventure, with Mount Kilimanjaro as a background for your captions, your 14 days is just a perfect choice for a safari holiday.

Our safari holiday continues to Lake Manyara, popularly known for the breathtaking scenery,  soda ash lake that attracts pink flamingos in thousand of numbers, the tree-climbing lions, and a huge population of elephants in Tanzania.

Our Tanzania safari adventure will take us to the Serengeti National Park, where over 2 million species await your adventurous soul to discover them. Serengeti National park is also popularly known as the heart of the annual wildebeest migration.

We will venture to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the awe-inspiring natural wonders in the world. What is more stunning is the huge concentration of wildlife that awaits on the floor of the crater. You will descend 600m deep to view wildlife and later a picnic lunch. This will be a thrilling end to your two week safari holiday in East Africa. Now it’s back to Arusha and then Nairobi.

Itinerary

Start your stunning safari adventure in Kenya with your guide. Early pick–up from your hotel and we start our journey to Masai Mara Game Reserve. You will pass by the spectacular Rift Valley Escarpment, which provides a scenic view for beautiful photo opportunities. You will proceed on to the Narok town for lunch after we head to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. We will check-in tour camp, before starting on the adventure with a sun-downer game drive, introducing you to the Masai Plains, and its local cast of residents. Later we will return to our camp, for dinner and overnight.

A thrilling day awaits you on a full day safari adventure on this safari holiday. After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day of game viewing adventure within the reserve. This reserve offers a varied wildlife experience, from the large numbers of wildlife to the scenic and stunning savannah Masai plains, to even the Masai culture experience. Traversing the Masai Mara for a full-day game drive, you will see the big five, the pride of lions, elephant herds, the rhinoceros, the giraffes and so much more. In this reserve, you are assured of real close encounters with the wildlife. As we follow the wildlife road tracking networks, we will get to the Mara River, where you can watch the hippos and crocodiles. Depending on your timing, you can also witness millions of wildebeest crossing this river from the neighboring Serengeti, to look for greener pastures in Masai Mara. The wildebeest migration is one of the world’s annual spectacular events in the Masai Mara. You will have your picnic lunch in the park and continue with your game viewing with more of the big five and the lesser-known game encounters till sunset. You have an optional activity of visiting a Masai Village at an extra cost of 10 $ per person. Dinner and overnight shall be at your camp.

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch en-route, with scenic views of Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in the evening and be dropped off at the hotel for dinner and overnight at the budget hotel.

After breakfast, proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, famous for its birdlife, which comprises the flamingos. The park also is a sanctuary for the endangered white and black rhinos. You can find the tree-climbing lions here, the buffalos and zebras around the shorelines. Later you will exit the park, and start your journey to Samburu National Park, with hot lunch on the way. There shall be a stop on the equator line as you make your way to Nanyuki, then proceed to Samburu, arriving in the evening, you will check –into your camp, where you can rest before dinner.

Full day in Samburu national park. Get a good opportunity to watch the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. And so the day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast leave your camp in Samburu for a journey to Mt.Kenya arriving at Nanyuki town base hotel for Mount Kenya for lunch followed by an afternoon visit to Mau Mau caves where the freedom fighters use to hide during the second world war and nature walk along the base of mount Kenya return to your hotel for dinner and over in Simba Hotel.

We depart Mt Kenya region in the morning and drive south through Masai country to the plains below Mount Kilimanjaro where Amboseli is situated. After a stopover lunch at Sopa lodge, we proceed into the scenic Amboseli National Park for a game drive returning to the lodge in the evening for a sundowner. The waters from melted snow drain down Mt. Kilimanjaro under lava flows and surface in Amboseli, creating a green belt of swampland amidst dusty plains. Here buffaloes, lions, gazelles, cheetahs, wildebeest, hyenas, jackals, warthogs, Masai Giraffes, zebra, baboon, hippos, and waterbuck can be seen against the backdrop of the magnificent snow-capped mountain. Dinner and overnight at the Kimana Camp or Similar.

A full day of game drives in this park will showcase the large numbers of wildlife easily found bathing in the swamps found here. Amboseli National park gives a beautiful safari experience and breath-taking scenery as you watch the elephants and buffalos roam at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro. Apart from the elephants; you will also encounter cheetahs, Zebras, hyenas, and many others. You will have your picnic lunch in a shade in the park and then continue with the afternoon game-viewing. When the clouds clear off in the evening, you can see the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later you will head back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast leave for Namanga Border from where you finalize the border formalities and proceed to Tarangire arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight Panorama Camp.

After our breakfast, head to Tarangire National park for an adventure safari game viewing. Later, we head to Serengeti via the Ol Duvai Gorge Museum, where the early man appeared, a million years ago (You can make an optional visit to the museum at an extra cost of 40$ per person). Upon arrival, we will head to the Serengeti National Park, which is widely known for the greatest wildlife spectacle, the great migration of wildebeest. The Plains are also home to a resident population of elephants, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, and birds. Dinner and overnight shall be at the temporarily fixed tents in Seronera Campsite/Similar.

After breakfast, you will have your final game drive in Serengeti National Park, known for the great wildebeest migration and many animals. Later depart to Ngorongoro Crater with your lunch en-route arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at basic tents.

After breakfast, leave with packed lunch and descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 6 hours game drive. Ngorongoro Crater has a stunning landscape consisting of vast expanses of woodlands, savannah forests, and highlands. This combined with a high concentration of wildlife, ranging from the endangered rhino species, the big cats, which include the lions, the elusive leopard, cheetahs, etc. and others like zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and the giant African elephants, makes it one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world. Later drive back to Lake Manyara National Park, dinner, and overnight at our campsite- Panorama Campsite or Similar.

Early breakfast and then head to the Lake Manyara a game drive in this stunning park, rich in wildlife and diverse landscape. Lake Manyara is a gem worth a stop while on safari in the Tanzania northern circuit. The groundwater forest fed by the water springs supports a rich ecosystem for wildlife such as the pink flamingoes concentrated on the lake shores, giant African elephant herds, troops of baboons, giraffes, hippos, and birds like the Ruppel’s Griffon, Peregrin Falcon, Augur Buzzard, and the Verreaux’s Eagle. Lake Manyara National Park is also widely known for its tree-climbing lions and the hot water springs found here. This park offers a comprehensive safari experience in Tanzania. Later we drive back to Arusha, with a drop off at your hotel, booked on Bed and breakfast. Dinner on Own.

After breakfast at Arusha Ambassador Hotel, our partner will be ready to take you to the shuttle bus for Nairobi where you will be received and transferred to the airport or your Nairobi hotel.
